Tesla’s Elon Musk has gotten a lot of criticism over the course of 2018, but renowned astrophysicist still hold the visionary CEO in a category above the rest. Tyson says Musk’s level of sophistication in thinking about the future is above even Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.
CNBC provides details:
“What Elon Musk is doing is not simply giving us the next app that will be awesome on our smartphone,” deGrasse Tyson says. “No, he is thinking about society, culture, how we interact, what forces need to be in play to take civilization into the next century.”
Tyson cites Musk’s dual mission of providing the planet with electric cars and colonizing Mars within the next decade as reasoning for his view on the controversial CEO.
Tesla, Inc shares were trading at $333.35 per share on Friday morning, down $4.84 (-1.43%). Year-to-date, TSLA has gained 7.07%, versus a 0.06% rise in the benchmark S&P 500 index during the same period.
TSLA currently has a StockNews.com POWR Rating of B (Buy), and is ranked #2 of 25 stocks in the Auto & Vehicle Manufacturers category.
